Five questions to ask before renting a house

Renting a new house has evolved its way into the digital market, though there are details furnished all over the website; still, some people might have questions in which some are relevant, and some are irrelevant. To know what questions you need to ask needs years of house hunting experience, so for all our newbies we have listed out the top five questions to ask your landlord before renting out.
Roof:
Roof matters because you want the weather to enter your house. Ask your landlord about dripping, leakage, and how old is the roof and windows. If you feel they are old enough ask for a replacement before getting in.
Appliances:
Check if the house is furnished with appliances like dishwasher, fridge, washer, and dryer. Ask your landlord whether the usage of these things are included with the rent because you don’t want to shell out some extra bucks when you are running out of money.
Pest control:
Have a thorough check, in and out of the house and look out for insects and pests, ask your landlord for pest control.
Locks:
Ask your landlord when was the locks were changed, and who owns the spare keys. Safety and precautions play a vital role while getting into a new place.
HOA fee:
House owner association fee is something which needs to be paid, if you are living in a subdivision ask your landlord will it be paid by him/her or you who should pay it or will it be included in the rent.
Building a healthy relationship with the landlord is necessary for a trouble free living, try to have a detailed and friendly conversation about the above questions and rent the space. For better houses and properties visit Sulekha.com
